Feel hard plastic might not last a drop. I do like the ratchet all be it, loud to extract the tape. But you can press the button to make it smooth.

Not a bad tape measure. The return button is very stiff. Maybe this particular one is like that. But otherwise, I've used similar tape measures before. It holds the length slightly better than narrow ones. But otherwise, it's the same. Also, after intensive use, the tape starts to wear off and rust. It has withstood falls from a small height. I'll add more if anything interesting comes up.

Excellent product, it doesn't have the best finishes but it is functional. Its numbers are large and the lock for securing it is quite useful, better than conventional flexometers. I recommend it although I'm not sure if it's for professional use due to the quality of its materials.
