A strange but functional item. quite large, as it needs to be. a reasonable range of jars can be opened, though odd or thin jars would not work. some quite tight lids opened ok. it does grind a bit and does not always open enough to stop operating, you have to pull it open. works better than expected, not sure on long term.

It doesn't work very well; where the batteries are, the cover opens and you have to hold it down, otherwise the lid won't open and you have to hold it in place. In the end, it makes a noise and it seems like it's going to break.

I was worried when i saw the package, since it appeared to have been crushed by other packages. however, i installed batteries and tested it. it performed as described and opened a jar without difficulty.
