Doesn't suit larger fuses such as found in volkswagens. I broke up some blade fuses stuck them in the slots and connected alligator clips to the relay. It is a work around but if you were doing this all day, i'd look at a different relay checker that can handle relays that have a physical larger size.
To make it work. You connect the res alligator clip to positive and black to negative, the select 4 or 5 pin relay. Put the relay in and push test. It's cycles through 10 times operating the relay and if it's ok, a green light shows. If it's faulty a res light shows.
