The fabric is quite thick, with good stitching and finishing, and it effectively blocks both rain and sun. However, this is not the product's fault; it's my fault for not paying attention to the measurements. It's a bit smaller than what my wife needed. She thought the closed size was great, but she wanted an open, larger coverage area. It's a shame, because the product is great, but she wants one with a larger opening diameter and it can't be too big, because she wants to carry it in her bag.

In the image the umbrella looks white but for me it kinda looks grey. also when i first try to open the umbrella it was quite difficult but after that it was a little bit easier to open.
